Some Info Male Caregiver Info
Generally the caregiver role does in fact fall to a female in the family, etc. but that doesn’t mean it’s exclusively so. As we look at men’s topics over the next few months we’ll look at some of the roles that typically fall within the male archetype but also some of those who depart from that archetype.
This article on the AARP site from 2017 does help us to challenge the orthodoxy of the female caregiver. Some things that they call out are some of the differences between male and female caregivers. For example, men may be more uncomfortable with hands on care (like bathing and more) and may be less likely to open up when they feel stressed (they are supposed to be able to handle it).
Guys - know you can reach out if needed. Call us and we’ll listen or reach out to your friends. It’s not a burden to share the load - in the Christian faith we know it is our duty to follow the lead of Jesus and help others when they need it physically or mentally. We need other people in our lives to share the burdens when times get tough and I am deeply thankful I can share my burdens with family and church members.

Differences in Motivation Between Men and Women
Here’s a cool blog post I ran across as I look to understand similarities and differences between men and women - in search of findings the strengths to accentuate and the weaknesses inherent to each of our sexes.
There are some interesting notes in here that managers and employers should look to understand in order to get the most out of their employees. Basically I don’t think there are any shockers here, but it does highlight some things like males being somewhat more goal oriented (attainable / measurable paths to success) and how females exhibit more empathy and like affirmation. Again, this is not mutually exclusive but it shows up as skews that illustrate some variation between the way men and women are wired...

Gender Differences By Job in Australia
Ever wonder what professions skew male or female? Does that skew mean anything in today’s day and age? I don’t know but I do think it is interesting. Here’s a list from Australia on gender and profession and I don’t think that it would look that different in the US.
