The story of Borrow My Glasses (BMG) starts with Donna Fedus. When Donna discovered the field of aging at age 23, she rearranged her life to be part of it, earning her masters in gerontology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. As a gerontologist educator in hospitals, universities and with client organizations for nearly 30 years, Donna brings her passion for dementia and caregiving issues, curriculum design, building coalitions, and new program strategy.
Donna served as Director of Elder Programs at The Consultation Center, Yale University for nine years and Director of Premier Years at Albert Einstein Medical Center, winning employee and leadership awards at both. She is currently an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University, teaching Sociology of Aging. She also created and a new college course at Quinnipiac called Social Issues in Family Caregiving, has created dozens of workshops for professionals and consumers, and is a frequent presenter at regional, state and national conferences.
